1.)    The characters fit the action and adventure film because, they are sailors who are in uniform this identifies them as navy this represents the military theme. Also the action theme comes in during a naval battle between two ships, this shows how naval warfare would be like in 1805. It shown the smoke and fire off the cannons and muskets which are used this shows the amount of gunpowder and lack of visibility they had during battles.
2.)    The sound track gives the realistic sound effects of cannon fire, gun fire and the shouting/screaming of injured men. This gave a realistic feeling of the battle and what an actual battle sound like. The camera work is very first person to show what It would be like to be placed there, it also does an eagle eye view (establishing shot) this shown the battlefield and what is taking place, also the camera angle goes under water when the ship starts to sink to give a more dramatic scene of men drowning and dying. The editing of this film is very fast passed to show the speed and progression of the battle, it shows cannon fire and trails the shot into the ships, and this shows the speed and velocity of the shots. However, the editing slowed down towards the end of the fight as the ship sunk the pace of editing slowed. Mise en scene, the people in this scene are wearing naval uniform this shows military which tends to be involved in action films. Also the setting of this scene is in the middle of the ocean this shows the adventure and exploration that the film contains.

3.)    Captain Jack Aubrey is represented as a fearsome and intelligent and passionate commander as he waits for the perfect time to fire his canons on the other ship. This represents his skill as a leader and shows how he was victorious through patience’s and strategy.
1.)    The events which take place during hurt locker suit the action adventure genre. Because there is certain scene for example: the scene when he is wearing a juggernaut suit and is walking towards the bomber. This was a tense moment because it shown the fear and a realistic atmosphere of others in the area and gave a very realistic feeling. Another scene is after the explosion and the aftermath as the soldiers re gain their balance from the force of the explosion.
2.)    The sound affects for this film sound very realistic. For example, the explosion from the bomb gave a ringing sound afterwards to give the feeling of a high pitch explosion and the more realistic features of what the effect of a bomb would do. The editing of this clip is very slow; this gives of the drammaticness the actual scene. The scene of him attempting to defuse the bomb was very slow but sped up as he ran away from the bomb. Mise en scene is the costumes involved in the theme of the film; this film has a very military looking mise en scene with a juggernaut suit, body vest, and camouflaged uniforms. The camera angles used are mainly the tracking shot, this follows the character through the scene wand shows a more dramatic scene and the scenery around them.

3.)    Characters are represented as more heroic for example, the man walking towards the bomber risks his own life to try and save the other. Even though he wasn’t able to save the man’s life it shown that the character has a lot of courage and heroism as he stays right in till the last second before he ran away. This shown bravery and the attitude he has towards others. The suicide bomber looks very stereotypical, with a strong Arabic look and speaks Arabic as well, this shows the stereotype that people in the west have created. It makes him out to be a bad guy at the start but we figure out that he is not there to hurt anyone and that this was forced upon him. This could be the film makers telling us that not everyone from the middle east are actually evil/terrorist’s.

Edge of tomorrow

The sound affects give a feeling of being in a battle field, with the explosions and dramatic sounds. These sounds of loud explosions and gun fire gave a general feeling of a chaotic battle. for example; when he lands off the plane onto the beach gave me the feeling of the epicness and destruction on whats about to happen. With the loud music (drums and base) mirrored  the progression of the battle taking place. The music  in the back ground gave the audience a feeling of an epic scene with a lot of action and mayhem...

The editing of edge of tomorrow is fast, apart from the beginning part when he is on the plane and he is trying to tell them that an explosions is about to happen. After the explosion happens the pace of the camera angles and the views you get dramatically increase as the battle begins. The fast past editing after the explosion could be mimicking on how fast the battle will take.

Edge of tomorrow mise en scene is based in the UK, we know this from the establishing shot over the London air port. I Immediately got that the  theme is very industrialized with a strong military background. You know this straight away because you see men in military uniform  with futuristic  guns, also you see a lot of industrial building around the air port with heavy loaded transport also, this is because you would need a strong industry to support this war effort. This told us that this film is based in futuristic war/battle scenario could look like.

Edge of tomorrow has many different types of camera angles, the first camera shot we seen in the clip was an establishing shot with a birds eye view over London airport (Heathrow). This immediately told the audience on where the film is set in (UK). It also used a shadow force angle when he was running towards a women and explosions in the background  happens this was  slightly blurred out so that you focus on him the key character. Also theirs a scene towards the beginning of the clip where he is about to jump out of the plane and you get a first person view of what he sees and you get an eagle view of the battle field bellow him, this gave me the feeling of actually being there with all the panic and mayhem inside the aircraft. theirs a tracking shot when Rita walks out of a crashed plane seeing will cage for the first time running straight towards here. this camera angle was really effective because it inspired a sense of awe.

The character Willam Cage is represented as a coward, and a deserter  to the U.S military. but later on in the film he shows heroism by picking up a clay-more and blowing him self up with the alien. this is where he gained a power of being able to repeat the day. This suits the action and adventure genre because it shows how anyone even someone with little courage can become a hero.

Friday Night Dinner
who commissioned it?

This programme was published on channel 4 on February 25, 2011. starring: Tamsin Greig, Paul Ritter, Simon Bird the actor in inbetweeners would bring a lot of veiwers towards this TV show because inbetweeners is one of the best comedies ever made in British history this will attract a lot fans from the inweeteners. Tom Rosenthal and Mark Heap. i think the show suits channel 4 as its not too funny but it is ok, this fits in to the same kind of category on what channel 4 post.

who produced it?
Robert popper is the create of this TV show.

what audience are they aimed at? and why?
This programme is aimed towards an older audience because its on past water shed. its on after watershed because its got more mature themes. these will be aimed at 18+ i think because the jokes take a more mature look on life and  problems that they encounter, people can relate to some of the scenes that happen.

Friday night dinner is on Fridays and on at around 10pm.

Bad education
 who commissioned it?
BBC 3 programmed this TV show first on August 14, 2012. this show fits into this channel because after watershed time line. more mature shows come on like bad education ad other comedy's

who produced it?
jack white hall wrote bad education, he is also one of the main actors during the TV show. by him making it made the show a lot more funnier in my opinion because he is a comedian and understands the audience who he is aiming towards.by him being apart of the show shows he dedication towards his show i think he did an excellent job as well and enjoyed watching their episodes.

what audience is it aimed at? and why?
Its aimed at a much older audience as its past watershed time, this shows that it takes them to be more mature and older to watch this TV shows.I think this TV show aims at people aged 16+ because its about school, which a younger age group can relate towards.

Bad education is on Thursday night at 10pm.

Tuesday, 9 February 2016

Bad education gives audience pleasure because it is relateable and funny. They do this by having culture difference between one another which creates a funny atmosphere between Jing and Mr Wickers as he always refers to her. Also the actor who plays Mr Wickers is a great comedian I general and could be what lead people to watch bad education or other TV comedy’s because of him.

By having the scene always set in a school  gives the younger generation a lot to relate to as a lot of the things which happen in bad education happens in school this gives the audience lot of pleasure to watch as they can be reliving memory’s that they have had in school, also a lot of the scenes in bad education are embarrassing and makes it very amassing to watch for the young audience.

Robert Popper the director and the person who had written the script for Friday night dinner.
Production companies
-Popper Pictures
-Big Talk Productions
The target audience is probably around 16-18+ I think this because they can relate to some of the scenes in the show is relate able
.

Friday night dinner starts at around 10pm, it’s on at this time because past 9 it whens more mature themes of TV programmes come on. This suits my target audience as they will be up at later times than a younger one. Also at this time is usually when comedies come on as they swear a lot in them so they are on at later times
